The "City-Shapes": I have travelled a lot in my life. Having seen so much of the world in the past s inspiring me to paint beautiful places and cities with a happy, positive note. The architecture, strukture and sould of each city fascinates me - and that's what I paint. People are not important in the paintings. The world has much to offer so there will always be places for me to paint in lush colours, lined with thin black lines.
The "YOU" series: The YOU series is a combination of figurative style & the black-line style from my City-Shapes, mixed with the abstract "Brouxelles-Technique", blended with some Graffiti elements. After moving from Japan to England I continued with a small series of abstract works using rubber. In another series about my time in Japan, I expressed myself in Kanji to describe my life there. In the early 90's I also started with portraits - where I firstly used the black-line technique which I am now using on my City-Shapes paintings. During my time in an artist-colony in Poland I discovered oil and nude painting...
